Mission of the Custer County Foundation
The Custer County Foundation is a non-profit community trust which is structured to seek out, receive, and administer funds to meet the present and future needs of the residents of Custer County. The funds are administered in the areas of health, arts and culture, social welfare, environment, education and civics.
Our Purpose
The Custer County Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that was created in 1991, to promote charitable giving fro the good of the communities of Custer County. The Foundation has three purposes:
- To seek funds from private sources in the form of gifts and inheritances in order to build a pool of capital for philanthropic purposes;
- To distribute these funds for public needs;
- To provide leadership for community activities.
